With the rollout of Swidge, THIS Universal Wallet complements the existing Vault system, making your THIS Account not just one of the most secure places to store your crypto, but also one of the most convenient for everyday use. The key differences between the Vault and the Wallet lie in their recovery methods and the scope of interactions they allow.

THIS Safe: The Safe refers to the set of smart contracts that safeguard the assets in your THIS Account. Only the account holder can authorize actions from the Vault using their passkey—and when required, two-factor authentication (2FA). If the passkey is lost or if THIS is temporarily offline, all funds remain fully recoverable on-chain. The Safe is designed with advanced users in mind, offering deeper on-chain storage and recovery options. However, it doesn’t support the full suite of THIS integrations. Assets stored in the Vault are limited to simple interactions like Send and Move. By moving funds from the Safe to the Wallet, users unlock access to all THIS-native features, including Swap & Bridge.

THIS Wallet: The Wallet isn’t just another browser extension to connect to third-party dApps. It’s a built-in feature of the THIS Account, designed to provide smooth access to all native functionalities while keeping your assets secure. Unlike the Vault, the Wallet can directly interact with third-party contracts, enabling seamless usage across dApps. It shares the same Turnkey-backed security architecture as the Vault, but with less friction in everyday operations. For recovery, the Wallet uses an off-chain method that can be triggered by the user—provided a verified email was linked to the THIS Account beforehand. In Short :
